Kia ora, in Te Ngahere we have done some Maths. There is a particular strategy I have recorded, it’s called Equal Additions. Equal Additions is a Maths strategy that makes subtraction strategies very easy. Take for example 587 - 398, you wouldn’t be able to figure it out immediately would you? You would add two to the 398 making it 400, because you have added two to the 398 you have to add two to the 587, otherwise your answer will be wrong. When you do that you have a new equation, but easier. 589 - 400. If this is confusing the video will be there to help you.
