Kia ora, in Te Ngahere we have been continuing with the Wonder Project. We have made a rocket and launched it a couple of times. Everytime we launch our rocket we have to record all the details like, how much PSI we used, the distance our rocket flew and what we need to modify. Something that has kept on happening that we haven’t figured out how to fix yet is, our wings have kept falling off mid flight. The farthest that our rocket has flown is 14.2 meters, it would’ve gone further in our latest flight (as of this post) but it got blown off course and stopped by a tree. Something that is difficult to do is modify our rocket so that our wings don’t fall off. Something that is easy to do is launching our rocket.
Hi Ben! My name is Lyla I am a year 7 at Otaki college. This is so amazing! I think it is really cool! What stuff did you use to make it? Have a great day! From Lyla.
ReplyDeleteKia ora Lyla, we used a bottle, cardboard and glue to create our rocket. It didn’t take many resources to make but some of the rockets managed to fly very far. The best rocket from Paihia School flew over 70 meters.
